Like most websites, the Site may occasionally install small files called cookies (or connection tokens) on Users’ computers so that it can function properly.
In fact, JMCWSG, S.A. uses cookies and other similar tracking technologies to identify Users who use the Site, in order to provide them with a better experience whenever they browse the Site, allowing us to improve the Site itself.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files automatically stored on the hard drives of Users’ / Customers’ computers or mobile devices when they access certain websites. Cookies identify the browser on the server, allowing information to be stored on the server in order to improve the Users’ / Customers’ experience.
The information collected concerns the browsing preferences of Users / Customers, namely how they access and use the Site and the region of the country from which they access it. As such, it does not include information that identifies them personally, but rather general information only.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies, although it is possible to configure the browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent, as described below. Please note, however, that if you refuse cookies some features of the Site may not function properly.
Why do we use cookies?
The use of cookies aims to improve the performance of the Site and maximize your experience while browsing it, namely by enabling faster and more efficient navigation and eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information. If you have any questions regarding the operation of the cookies used by JMCWSG, S.A., you may contact us using the contact details referred to in Clause 1.
What are cookies used for?
A cookie identifies your browser on the server, allowing information to be stored on the User’s device. This technology serves various purposes, such as helping to determine the usefulness, interest, and number of uses of the Site, allowing the User to browse more quickly and efficiently by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information.
Most browsers are set to accept cookies, although it is possible to configure the browser to refuse all cookies (see below), or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. When the User browses the Site and the cookie is accepted, on a future visit to the Site the JMCWSG, S.A. Internet server will recognize the User’s computer or mobile device. In this way, when the User navigates through pages of a website or application or returns to a website or application they have already visited and for which they have consented to the use of cookies, they will generally not need to indicate their preferences again or re-enter data previously provided.
What types of cookies exist?
There are several types of cookies.
Considering the cookie lifespan
Persistent cookies – these cookies remain stored, even after the User closes the browser, on their access devices (PC, mobile, and tablet) and are used whenever the User makes a new visit to the Site. They are generally used to direct navigation according to the User’s interests, allowing JMCWSG, S.A. to provide a more personalized service.
Session cookies – these are temporary cookies that remain in the User’s browser cookie file until they leave the website or application. The information obtained by these cookies is used to analyze web traffic patterns, allowing JMCWSG, S.A. to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Considering the domain they belong to
First-party cookies – these are cookies sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a device or domain managed by JMCWSG, S.A., from which the service requested by the User is provided.
Third-party cookies – these are cookies sent to the User’s terminal equipment from a device or domain that is not managed byJMCWSG, S.A., but by another entity that processes the data collected through cookies.
